Carthage and Sidi Bou Said Half-Day Guided Tour

Close to the capital, a prestigious location and striking views: this is the introduction to the Coasts of Carthage, named after one of the most glorious ancient cities of the Mediterranean. Founded by the Phoenicians, destroyed then rebuilt by the Romans, Carthage is today a fashionable city. Next door, Sidi Bou Said is an elegant village where the blue and white houses jostle with each other on the hillside, facing the sea. Stretching out close to these inspiring locations are the beaches of Gammarth and La Marsa.

Full Day Tour Kairouan – Roman coliseum of El Jem

Enjoy a nice day private guided tour to see the top monuments of ancient city of Kairouan: The Great Mosque, the tomb of Sidi Sahab, the Aghlabid Basins, the Medina with its ancient marketplace and walls. In El Jem, you will visit one of the most important Roman coliseums and the archaeological museum.

11:00 am: Departure from the hotel, then we head to Kairouan the first Holy City in North Africa and known for its fortified Medina and authentic architectural style.

12:00 am : Visit the Great Mosque, the tomb of Sidi Sahab and the impressive pools at Aghlabid Basins built to collect and store winter rainwater. Then free time to stroll into the medina (old town) and explore the ancient marketplace encircled by 11th-century walls. Kairouan is noted for the crafting of carpets and for its delicious pastries.

03:00 pm : After lunch we will continue to El Jem to visit the largest and most spectacular 30, 000-seater Roman amphitheater in North Africa and the best preserved in the world . In the small archaeological museum, we will see the collection of mosaics.

06:00 pm : Return to the hotel.
